It’s started making a noise again… (I wouldn’t recommend buying a car from NMJ Motorhouse)

I started the car today & it started making a similar noise as before.
So it sounds like the 2nd new DMF (installed by D & A Autos Ltd) has gone!

My conclusion is that NMJ Motorhouse has sold me a faulty motor.

I wouldn’t recommend NMJ Motorhouse, neither D & A Autos Ltd as they obviously haven’t fixed this faulty car.

IMO avoid these companies.

2nd DMF replaced by D & A Autos Ltd / NMJ Motorhouse

The 2nd DMF & clutch was installed by D & A Autos Ltd.
The mechanic said the one that they took out had gone. They had only put that one in less than 2 months earlier!!!
This shouldn’t happen.
So what is wrong with this car?

3pm came & went, still no call from Mark at D & A Autos Ltd.

This is not very professional… & wasting my time!

As I hadn’t received a call from Mark at D & A Autos Ltd, I decided to call him up to see what the problem was, after all is was now 1pm, 4hrs after I had scheduled the car to be worked on by them.
I called & he told me that he still didn’t have a courtesy car available for me, & he would call me at 3pm.

I had booked the car in to D & A Autos Ltd so that they could look into the problems I have been having when starting the car etc & also the 2 OBD II error messages: P242F & P1935.
So I drove the car to the garage for 9am, parked & went into the office, Mark was on the phone.
Another staff member from behind the desk asked if he could help.
I told him my car was booked in & I was collecting a courtesy car.
He looked in the book & my car / name wasn’t written anywhere.
Mark interrupted while he was still on the phone & said I wasn’t in the book, but the details were on his computer.
I waited until he was off the phone.
He told me that he had been trying to call the person who had the courtesy car, but was unable to get hold of him.
I could either wait, or come back later when he called me.
I decided that I would be better off going & awaiting his call.
So I left with my car.

Problems again when starting the engine…

I started the car OK, if a bit sluggish in the morning. I Drove to Kettering, it took me just over 1hr, all OK.
As I was 10 mins early for my appointment, I parked I turned the engine off. After 10 mins I started it again.
There was a loud knocking noise, it sounded a bit like something was loose. I hadn’t engaged the gears, only started the engine up while parked. The noise became louder, then the engine progressively slower & slower as if the timing was slowing down, until it was sounding so bad, as if it was going to stall. I turned it off.

What the hell is wrong with this car?
I get the feeling the NMJ Motorhouse have sold me a pile of sh1t!

I have contacted NMJ Motorhouse to book it in to their garage as it’s still under their 3 month warranty, I am still awaiting their response…

I am not impressed with the quality of the car I bought from NMJ Motorhouse, I am also not impressed with their slow response to getting problems fixed under their warranty. I am starting to wish I hadn’t bought this car from NMJ Motorhouse!

I called NMJ Motorhouse & talked to Steve. He gave me the contact details of the garage who handles their repairs: D & A Autos Ltd in Bletchley.

I booked the car into D & A Autos Ltd.
